LITERARY PODCAST
“Inspiring Writers on the Path to Publication”
with host Jordan Rosenfeld

Writer's Digest magazine is making its audio debut with a literary podcast that features interviews with authors, editors and agents, and provides guided writing exercises to inspire writers on the path to publication.

Jordan E. Rosenfeld is the former host of Word by Word: Conversations with Writers on NPR-affiliate, KRCB Radio.

Show 1: Literary Fiction
Michelle Richmond is the author of three books and a writing teacher. We speak to Michelle about her most recent novel, The Year of Fog, set in the fog-shrouded streets of San Francisco, which is the story of a photographer and soon-to-be Stepmom, Abby Mason, whose momentary lapse in attention results in the disappearance of her fiance's little girl, Emma. We also speak to her editor at Delacorte Press (Random House), Caitlin Alexander.

Show 2: Memoir/ Creative non-fiction
Tom Bissell is a journalist whose work has appeared in Harper's, GQ and The New York Times Magazine, and the author of three books, including fiction and non-fiction. We speak to Tom about his new book, a memoir, The Father of All Things, about taking his father, a Vietnam Veteran, back to Vietnam in an attempt to understand the nature of their relationship. We also speak to his editor at Pantheon (Random House), Andrew Miller.

Show 3: Fantastic Fiction
Ron Currie Jr. is a debut author whose first collection of linked stories, God is Dead, is set in a world in which God is killed after assuming the form of a Dinka woman in the Sudan. We speak to Ron about the inspiration for his fiction and his road to publication. We also speak to his agent at Writer’s House, Simon Lipskar.
